We had 2 years of experience working for others. Then, on July 31st, 2015, we got our own authority. That same day, we moved our first load. It wasn’t fancy, it wasn’t easy, but it was real.
On July 31st, 2025 we celebrated 10 years as a trucking company under our own authority. And even though it's been a full decade, we still feel like we’re just getting started.
There’s a saying in business that goes: “You’re a startup for the first 15 years.” I believe that. These past 10 years have been all about: Surviving, learning, failing, starting again.
Now we’ve got 5 more years to find our way: the best people, the right systems, a strong culture, and a clear identity. And I want to give these next 5 years more than ever before.

“DON’T DO IT”

When I started DOXA, people were telling me: “Don’t even try”, “You can’t make it”, “Too much stress”, “Too little profit.”
But I didn’t listen. Because all this started from passion. I’ve always loved driving cars, trucks, anything with wheels. That love is still there. That’s what kept me going through the hardest days. And I hope I’ll be doing this another 30 years, if God allows.

IT WAS NEVER ABOUT MONEY

People talk about becoming rich. I never dreamed about big bank accounts, expensive watches, or luxury cars.
My dream was simple:
• A peaceful life with my family.
• Driving all kinds of cool trucks and cars.
• Rebuilding an old classic with my own hands.
• Enough money to live, give, and enjoy life.
That mindset helped me stay focused, not on chasing cash, but on building something beautiful.

I DIDN’T DO IT ALONE

One of the hardest parts of this journey was finding the right people to help me build this.
But from Day One, I was lucky to have Ana, my wife, by my side. While I handled dispatch, safety, hiring, and maintenance. Ana took care of the payroll, billing, and all the paperwork. Just the two of us, back-to-back.
Then in 2017, we hired our first dispatcher. And things started growing fast after that.

ALMOST GAVE UP

In 2016, we almost gave up. That was the year all 4 of our trucks blew their engines.
I had to rebuild all 4 engines, drive, dispatch, and manage repairs, all at once.
It was chaos. And it almost ended the business. But we didn’t quit. And I think those struggles were our best lessons.

FROM 1 TO 100 TRUCKS

If you ask me how we went from 1 truck to 100 trucks in 10 years, I won’t tell you it was easy or that I had some secret formula. It was GOD. And the people He sent into our lives: drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, customers, even strangers who helped us along the way.
We had many sleepless nights. We took a lot of risks. We kept trying different things until something worked. And even when we failed, we kept going.
You don’t always need a perfect plan. Sometimes, you just need patience, faith, and the willingness to lose before you win.

MY ADVICE

This isn’t a fancy anniversary message. It’s just a thank you, from a simple guy who started with nothing but a CDL, a dream, and a little courage. If you’re still building your business or trying to find your way in life: Don’t give up. Don’t compare. Just keep showing up.
We’re not here to chase luxury. We’re here to build something honest, do things the right way, and take care of our people.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey. Let’s make the next 5 years even better together.
With love and respect,
Gabriel
